Hall Cycle Center returns to the Geico 2010 Bikers for Tykes & Troops Event!!

GEICO Powersports will be hosting the 2010 “Bikers for Tykes & Troops Motorcycle Rally and Concerts”. Running Friday, April 9, 2010 at 4:00pm until Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 5:00pm. Taking place at KOA Kampgrounds 1240 General Booth Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA 23451. This 5th annual event will feature national and local musical acts, vendors and exhibitors, tattoo and best bike contests, and much, much more. The event will bring out motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the region to support our children and our military.

Hall Cycle Center will be there with their truck and trailer, giving away prizes for different drawings and raffles. Coming out to meet and greet everyone, they we will also be showing off a few of their own bikes; A Chopper and the orange 1970 Harley-Davidson Sportster, that is on display in the Hall Cycle Center customer reception area just to name a few. Come join us for some fun in the sun!

Hall Hyundai Western Branch’s Service Manager, Pete Novak will be rockin’ out with his band “Bullwinkle” Sunday, April 11th at 12:30pm. Being buddies all through high school they started playing together in August of 2004. This will be the 5th year the original 3 members have been playing live at the Bikers for Tykes and Troops event thanks to bass player and Geico Power Sports Sales Manager, Mike Best. Randy Bias plays rhythm guitar, Pete Novak on the drums, Kevin Reynolds playing lead guitar, and Neath Wiliams as singer/frontman. Playing rock music from the 1960s – now with most coming from the 1980s and 1990s. {Next charity at Relay for Life on May 22}.

The Bikers for Tykes & Troops Motorcycle Rally was founded in 2006 to uphold GEICO’s mission of making an impact in the communities in which we reside. All proceeds generated through sponsorships, fundraisers, ticket sales as well as sales and donations at the event go directly to their two local charities: Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia.

CHKD was founded in 1961 and supports more than 160,000 inpatient and outpatient visits each year, addressing routine and complex illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions. The CHKD Health System also operates primary care pediatric practices, surgical practices, multi-service Health Centers and satellite offices throughout Hampton Roads.
*USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia
It is the mission of the USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia to enhance the quality of life and public support for armed service members and their families. With nine centers and over 750 volunteers, the USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia offers quality of life programs, family outreach and information and referral services to over 200,000 military members and their families stationed in the Hampton Roads and Central Virginia areas. Some of these programs include: emergency lodging, mobile outreach, orientation, information and referral, special holiday programs, summer concerts, military appreciation days and Flightline canteens.
