The new Silverado HD is ready for enormous undertakings. It starts with an available Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 that generates more horsepower and torque, yet is more fuel-efficient than before. To transfer all that power to the rear axle, you’re going to need one heck of a transmission. Say “hello” to our strongest one yet – the legendary Allison six-speed automatic transmission. And the foundation on which it all rests is an all new chassis – giving you an improved ride and more payload and towing capabilities. Plus, innovative trailering features like Trailer Sway Control (SRW only) and StabiliTrak help keep you on track.
