Exciting changes have taken place at Hall Automotive.

After many years of dedicated service to Hall Automotive, Fred Miller, president of the region’s largest group of car dealerships, has decided to retire.

Mr. Miller took over as President of Hall Automotive, which owns 16 dealerships, in 2008. He joined the company in 1974, when he answered an advertisement for a sales job. Since he became president, he has overseen one of the toughest periods in car-selling history, dealing with the recession and problems in the banking industry. “He’s a very optimistic leader,” said Don Hall, president of the Virginia Automobile Dealers Association. “His view was, no matter how tough things are, we can work our way through it.”

Bill Baker, executive vice president of Hall Automotive, will take over as President. Mr. Baker joined Hall Automotive in 1993 and has served as executive vice president for the last 4 years.

Congratulations to Mr. Bill Baker and best wishes for Mr. Fred Miller, you will be missed.
