Donations will be delivered to the food bank on 12/21 before 3 pm, as this is when the warehouse closes…So make sure to get in those canned goods before then!!

Hall Chevrolet Western Branch, one of 15 Chevrolet dealers from the Norfolk area that partnered with local youth baseball leagues for the 2010 baseball season, raised nearly $49,500 in total donations from the dealership and private parties. In addition to monetary support, Hall Chevrolet Western Branch provided Churchland Little League with equipment donations, an opportunity to raise and keep up to $10,000 through a unique fundraiser, and participation in a baseball clinic led by Ripken Baseball.

“Chevrolet has a long history with baseball and we’re glad we were able to bring that commitment to our youth leagues in Chesapeake where our customers and their families live, work, and play,” said Steve Havens General Manager for Hall Chevrolet Western Branch. “The instructional clinic was the highlight of the season for many of the kids.  They had a blast and, frankly, we did too.”

Hall Chevrolet Western Branch partnered with the Churchland Little League because of their proximity to the dealership.  Equipment donated by Hall Chevrolet Western Branch included equipment bags, ball buckets, coach’s clipboards and t-shirts. In addition, the dealership helped donate either a Chevy Malibu or a Chevy Equinox to be used as a fundraiser by the league.  The winner of the fundraiser got to choose one of the two vehicles.

“We are delighted to be involved with the American tradition of youth baseball,” said Havens. “Sponsoring Churchland Little League gave us the opportunity to illustrate our commitment to the youth and families in Chesapeake and we’re glad to have achieved such positive outcome for the community.”

In 2010, more than 980 Chevrolet dealers participated in Chevy Youth Baseball and helped raise more than $3 million for youth baseball programs across the USA.  Now in its fifth year, more than $11 million has been contributed to youth baseball in the communities where Chevrolet’s customers live, work, and play.

H20 World Tour will hit more than 75 cities in the United States, Canada and Europe over the next 12 months. Chevy is title sponsor for the tour. Special guests will be Darius Rucker and Justin Moore. Appropriately, Paisley’s current song is “Water,” from his American Saturday Night album.

H20 World Tour will include a “Water World Plaza,” sponsored by Sea Ray Boats and Skinny Water, and will turn every city into a water festival. Focal point in the Plaza area will be the “Water World Plaza Stage” featuring emerging new stars Easton Corbin, Steel Magnolia and Josh Thompson. The tour extravaganza will open each day at 4:00pm with music starting at 5:00pm. In addition to the music stage there will be multiple water-themed activities – including a Chevy H20 FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, Hope Through Healing Hands’ campaign booth, and more.

Chevy will be providing a Corvette driving simulator for concert goers to test the latest Corvette ZR1 series as well as their individual driving and racing skills against Paisley himself. “If they can beat me, they can meet me,” laughs Paisley.

2010 Buick Lacrosse CXS (27 MPG HWY) starting at $33,015

Although the Buick is priced above the other fuel efficient vehicles on this list, it is priced higher for a reason. Its V6 engine, perforated leather appointed 8-way seating, 18” chrome plated wheels and a Harmon/Kardon 11-speaker with USB port should be enough to spell out luxury. It’s made the green list because true to its word, it gets 27 MPG. For a luxurious ride that doesn’t payout at the pump, its love at first site. Step inside and see for yourself.

The new Camaro remains sporty, fast and affordable. Its best enhancements are eco-friendly with a fresh design. It is said to get an estimated 29 highway miles per gallon and starts at only $22,680. Choose from a V6 or V8, an assortment of colors, accents, stripes, and several other packages that are available.

It’s a great looking car, and is great speed or for everyday use. As it was then, so it is now. The Camaro, born more than 40 years ago as Chevrolet’s reply to the Ford Mustang, is coming out of retirement (since 2002) for a new fight with the namesake ponycar.

As expected, the Camaro will be available in LS, LT and SS guise. The LS and LT models will make do with a 3.6L V6- with either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission – and will produce 300 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Despite having more power than the V6 versions of the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, the V6-powered cars will return 26 mpg on the highway.

Both the LS and LT models will ride on GM’s FE2 suspension. An RS appearance package will be available on LT model, and will include HID headlamps with an integrated halo ring feature, spoiler, specific tail lamps and 20-inch wheels.

With four-wheel independent and Stabili-Trak stability control standard, the Camaro will tip the scales at about 3,700 pounds, but is said to have a near ideal 52/48 weight distribution.

Although the V6 models will do battle with low-end Mustangs and Challengers, a turbocharged four-cylinder is still not out of the question. The automaker hopes to sell as many as 100,000 units annually.

Overall, the body shape looks very similar to the Camaro Concept. GM has added a B-pillar to the Camaro’s body structure for added strength. Otherwise, the car is virtually unchanged from the concept, as GM has promised.

Sitting on the same Delta II platform that will underpin the Chevrolet Cruze, the Orlando rides higher and taller. General Motors said it “explores the potential of combining the versatility attributes of a sport utility, a family van and a wagon in a single execution.” We think it looks quite a bit like a 2008 Dodge Caliber, particularly in its C-pillars and its exaggerated fender flares.
